Family Program

 

Substance abuse and gambling will often affect the lives of all family members. Our programs offer help to the family as well as to the substance abusers or gamblers.

Our program offers information to help you understand:

 

• Addiction related problems and how to deal with them.

• Co-dependency: Someone who is affected by a loved one’s dependence. Their life focuses on the partner’s addiction problem.

• Enabling: (allow their partner’s drug and alcohol use to continue) ex: taking responsibility for his actions or non actions.

• Physical and psychological effects of alcohol  and drug addiction

• The effects of addiction on family members

• Affected emotions; anger, sadness, fear, sorrow…

• Techniques and behaviours that may have a positive effect on their life and the lives of their loved ones.
